Knee injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS)
Patient-completed questionnaire assessing pain, symptoms, activities of daily living, sport and recreation function and knee related quality of life. Consists of 9 pain, 7 symptom, 17 ADL, 5 sport and 4 quality of life questions. Questions are scored on a 5-point scale; each domain is summed separately and transformed to a 0 to 100 scale A normalized score (100 indicating no
symptoms and 0 indicating extreme symptoms) is calculated for each subscale.
The result can be plotted as an outcome profile

Knee Society Clinical Rating System

Staff-completed rating system in 2 parts measuring function. Specific positive or negative numerical scores are allocated to each response category and a total calculated up to a maximum of 100 points in both sections. Alignment, pain, range of motion and ligamentous instability are clinically assessed. Functional tests focus on walking distance and use of stairs
