To search, collect and disseminate available scientific evidence in the physiotherapy domain for physiotherapists, health care workers, patients and financiers of health care.
Why? Within the physiotherapy community more and more Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) guidelines exist. However the process of updating, maintaining and initiating new guidelines is hampered by the fact that implementation research is lacking. Moreover, new and existing guidelines in the physiotherapy domain should be developed in an international setting, readily accessible to all physiotherapists and validated by means of benchmarking and electronic surveillance of patient and physiotherapist data.
