The local organizational committee will be chaired by Robert Werstine BA, BScPT, Dip Manip, Dip Sport,
FCAMT who is also the current Chair of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association’s Orthopaedic Division.
He will be assisted by a committee composed of Elaine Maheu BSc PT, Grad Dip Advanced Manip Ther,
IMTA, FCAMT, Anita Gross BScPT, MSc, Grad Dip Advanced Manip Ther, FCAMT, and Lisa Carlesso
BScPT, MSc PT, Dip Manip, FCAMT and current Chair of CAMT, the Canadian Academy of Manipulative
Therapy. As well there will be several additional members from both the National and Quebec Sections of
the Orthopaedic Division who will be on board in helping in the organisation, some of who have been
involved in the organisation of the IFOMT Congress in 1984, in Vancouver. Heading the scientific
committee will be Bert Chesworth PhD and Michael Westaway PhD, both manual therapy researchers.
