The Rehabilitation and Related therapies Field is happy to announce the liason with the National Center for the Dissemination of Disability Research (NCDDR) operated by the Southwest Educational Development Laboratory (SEDL) through funding from the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR). The NCDDR scope of work responds directly to NIDRR's concern for increasing the effective use of NIDRR-sponsored research results in shaping new technologies, improving service delivery, and expanding decision-making options for people with disabilities and their families.
The NCDDR leverages resources through collaborative working relationships with experts in standards of evidence and systematic reviews, NIDRR-funded researchers, and agencies engaged in disseminating disability research results.
The NCDDR's new online registry of systematic reviews of research studies on disability and rehabilitation topics can be found at: http://www.ncddr.org/systematicregistry/about.html
The NCDDR also produces a newsletter, FOCUS, which provides a short overview on a specific topic, which also identifies resources for readers to follow up for more information: http://www.ncddr.org/kt/products/focus/
